The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch covering much of eastern Colorado going into effect overnight Friday night. According to the NWS, “sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 (are) possible” between midnight and 9 a.m. Saturday morning. “Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” the watch states. The NWS advises taking steps to protect plants from the cold.
