PLEASANTON — City officials and the police union have reached a deal for a three-year contract that increases wages and benefits for officers and police sergeants.
Nearly 60 Pleasanton residents, former city leaders and police officers packed Tuesday night s City Council meeting to demand that city officials settle on a fair contract with the Pleasanton Police Officers Association.
A federal lawsuit alleges Pleasanton police botched a plan to detain a domestic violence suspect last year, fatally shooting him instead. The case is also under review by Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price.
