Paul said he was absolutely heartbroken and paid tribute to the best dad a boy/man could ever wish for . He said: “I honestly thought he had at least 10 more years in him, so it’s been such a shock how fast this horrible disease took him.”

Brian House and inset competing with his son Paul ONE of the region s best known bodybuilding legends – who at one time shared a stage with Arnold Schwarzenegger – has died from Covid-19. Tributes have been paid to Brian House, 82, who his family said was fit and healthy and still working out until the virus hit him. Mr House, from Dringhouses, York, was renowned in the bodybuilding world, running a gym in the city for many years and operating as a North-East judge and show promoter for the National Amateur Body Builders Association. He competed in the Mr Universe competition in the 1960s, clinching fourth place the same year ‘Arnie’, who competed at a different weight ,carried off the title and set off on the path to movie stardom. Mr House said Schwarzenegger was a nice guy and you could see he would go far.
