Twenty-eight UB students have died by suicide since the fall 2007 semester, with 10 of those deaths having occurred since the start of the 2019-20 academic year and three during the 2021-22 academic year, according to data from UB’s Office of Student Conduct and Advocacy.
The new Student Health Services center on Maple Road is no longer expected to open to students this semester, Vice President for Student Life Brian Hamluk told The Spectrum last week.
Following UB’s announcement that masks will no longer be required “in most settings” on campus starting Saturday, UB Athletics announced fans will not be required to wear masks to attend athletic events, effective March 5.
