The Arizona Cardinals once-promising season has come to a grinding halt. Sure, they could still make the playoffs, but at this point it s clear they are the definition of NFL pretenders a team with a lot of flash but little substance.
Ultimately, the fault for that hollowness has to fall on head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who has built his reputation as an offensive guru, but falls short of living up to that billing against more seasoned coaching opponents. But in his second season in the NFL, Kyler Murray s game is also showing cracks, which isn t good for a franchise who went all-in with this duo and really has no productive way out if it doesn t work.

Washington starting quarterback Alex Smith is still battling a calf injury, which will keep him out of his second straight game. Haskins started against the Seahawks last week and passed for 295 yards with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Washington lost 20-15 but maintained a one-game lead in the NFC East. They could clinch the division this week with a win over the Panthers coupled with a loss by the Giants.
Mitch Trubisky Should Absolutely Not Re-Sign With the Bears

The best thing that ever happened to Mitch Trubisky was getting benched for Nick Foles. It not only gave Trubisky a chance to mentally reset, which has led to a renaissance performance by him, it also was a clear reminder of what the Bears have thought about him for the last year.
That alone should be enough ammunition to keep Trubisky from re-signing with Chicago, but there are other reasons that make the decision more obvious.
Since returning to the Bears starting lineup in Week 12, Trubisky has thrown for over 970 yards with 8 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions, leading the Bears back into the playoff hunt with a 2-2 record. That performance, according to Adam Schefter, has led to a situation where the Bears would now like to re-sign Trubisky. The feeling should not be mutual.
The Cowboys Must Trade Ezekiel Elliott at All Costs

The Dallas Cowboys face the herculean challenge this offseason of finally signing Dak Prescott to a long-term contract extension and plugging the numerous holes on their roster. They must to do all that while only having $33 million in cap space to play with.
Completing that task will take creativity, ingenuity, and some amazing scouting, but it would be made much easier if they traded Ezekiel Elliott. In fact, it s the Cowboys best path toward becoming Super Bowl contenders again next year.
With Elliott out this week because of a calf contusion, Tony Pollard got the start and showed he s ready to replace Elliott as the Cowboys lead back moving forward. Against the 49ers, Pollard ran for 69 yards and two touchdowns and caught six passes for 63 yards.
Big Ten Just Changed its Rules for Ohio State Again

The Big Ten already bent over backward to give Ohio State a chance to make the College Football Playoff. Now the conference leaders are doing everything in their power to give the Buckeyes the best chance to win it all.
A few weeks after the Big Ten eliminated their rule stipulating that a team must play six games to be eligible for the Big Ten Championship, which allowed Ohio State to play despite having only played five games at the time, they re now changing their COVID restriction guideline so the Buckeyes might have all their top players eligible for the College Football Playoff.
