SHELTON A proposed Petremont Lane apartment complex which would offer affordable housing units appears one step closer to reality.
While no formal vote was taken, the Planning and Zoning Commission, at its virtual meeting Tuesday, instructed consultant Tony Panico to prepare a favorable resolution for a zone change at 0 Petremont Lane to a Planned Development District.
The resolution, once complete, will be presented to the commission at an upcoming meeting, at which time a formal vote will be taken. No date has been set for that meeting.

White Hills Fire Company will offer a drive-thru Easter flower sale on April 2 and April 3 at its headquarters, 2 School St.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions, the company is asking people to preorder flowers at whitehillsfireco.org.
Preordered flower orders will either be delivered to your home within 3 miles of the firehouse or can be picked up at any time at the firehouse on April 2 or April 3. Additional flowers will be available on Friday and Saturday, but to guarantee the flowers of your choice, the company recommends preordering by March 31.

SHELTON - Registering for vaccination appointments can be confusing, and one local organization wants to let residents know some tips for making the process easier.
Envision Shelton, the non-partisan group, which was first formed last year to oppose the proposed charter revisions on the November ballot, has turned its focus to informing the public about ways to register for the COVID-19 vaccinations.
