1970: Hilton Secondary School pupils with Mr J. Skinner and his dog Jasonu after a £250 cheque for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association had been handed over by Freda Ritchie in Hilton School hall, Aberdeen, yesterday.
This week’s Aberdonian gallery takes a look at the city’s connection to the Guide Dogs Association.
Our pictures, taken between 1969 and 1990, show a variety of fundraising events, as well as some of the incredible animals who have helped people across the region.

Miles McKane and
Sally Griffin, the songs of The Plague will at last be brought to light on a new collection on vinyl LP and 7 , available at this week s reunion extravaganza at Auckland s Neck Of The Woods with
X-Features and
DJ Dubhead. Iconic for their pioneering theatrical and untamed art-punk shows, including a high profile performance at Nambassa Festival 1979, members of The Plague generously shared with UTR some of their own memories of the wild times they spent together.
