Report: Nick Rimando set for RSL Academy GK coach role
The long-time RSL player is moving into coaching.

After retiring at the end of 2019, Nick Rimando’s future at Real Salt Lake was unwritten.
Today, that gets a little more clarity, with reports emerging that he’s going to be joining the Real Salt Lake academy coaching staff.
Breaking news: Real Salt Lake will announce this afternoon that Nick Rimando has been added to the RSL academy coaching staff as the goalkeeper coach.

The ownership count has been ended in light of the information from MLS Comissioner Don Garber that he’s “optimistic of what will come to fruition, hopefully by the end of the year.”
As a follow-up, it looks as though Jazz owner Ryan Smith is still interested, but wants to see how the 2021 season progresses first. Hopefully we’ll know more in a few months.
