Following a 10-5 victory over Maine on Tuesday, Boston College baseball head coach Mike Gambino said the Eagles lineup is relentless, and that no matter how long it takes, once the Eagles break out, they re a force to be reckoned with.

It took the Eagles five innings to break out, but after trading blows with the Black Bears throughout that span, the Eagles opened the floodgates in the sixth. After freshman Cameron Leary launched a 3-1 fastball over the left-center fence, the Eagles shifted into final gear, putting up five more runs––including three of their five home runs on the day for a 10-5 win.

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - Tyrell Brewer posted a three-hit day, while Houston Parker had RBI in both contests to highlight Charleston Southern’s opening day doubleheader losses to Boston College. The Bucs fell in the opener to BC, 12-4, before dropping the nightcap, 12-1.

CSU (0-2) and BC (2-0) will close out the weekend series tomorrow morning at Shipyard Park with first pitch set to start at 11 a.m.
Enterprising Offaly students devise Escape Covid-19 board game

THREE enterprising Tullamore College students have devised a board game to help people fight Covid-19 in a fun and educational way.
The trio, Geordi O Meara, Brian Dempsey and Sean Conway came up with the idea for the board game as part of their Transition Year mini-company enterprise project.
The students formed the GBS Games mini-company which manufactured the board game, appropriately entitled “Escape Covid-19”. The board game is now available for just €10.
Speaking to the Tribune this week, the trio said they “brainstormed ideas, hoping to create an effective business for a Covid-19 friendly environment.”
