The long-delayed transformation of Pabst Brewing Co. s former downtown Milwaukee malt house into apartments is nearing an end.
Renovations at the Malt House Lofts, 1009 W. Juneau Ave., are in full out completion mode right now, said Robert Lubin, who s leading the development team.
The projected opening of the Malt House is June, Lubin said. We should have the entire building ready to go, he said.
The project, previously known as Brewery Lofts, is converting the former Pabst brewery s malt house and grain warehouse into 118 apartments on seven floors. It is a relief to hit the home stretch, said Lubin, a Herndon, Virginia, attorney and project investor. I am very confident it will be seen as worth the wait.
