A Kentwood couple is keeping their daughter s memory alive by helping other parents who are experiencing the loss of a baby.
Kellie and Brett Zammitt are creating memory boxes for families to take home with them from the hospital after losing a baby.
Kellie was six-months pregnant when she tested positive for COVID-19.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â Sitting around their kitchen table, Brett and Kellie Zammitt pack one box at a time.
âIt makes me feel like I have just so much purpose in being her mom,â said Kellie Zammitt.
Each box is filled with thoughtful mementos, like a canvas for footprints, a swaddle with a personal note, and a stuffed bear.
âWe kind of poured our grief into this,â said Brett Zammitt.
The goal is to give items that allow parents to remember their child.
