Power Up Summit
The 2021 Texas Power Up Summit will run from March 6-8 as a virtual conference aimed at educating and activating Latino youths to be leaders in their communities.
Attendees can learn about the operations of the Texas Legislature, how bills are created and passed and the lobbying process. Attendees can also learn about policy issues such as climate justice, immigrants rights, access to health care, student debt relief and redistricting. The summit will end with a Day of Action from 11 a.m. to noon March 8, when attendees will be encouraged to use the skills they have learned and meet with their elected state representatives to advocate for issues they are passionate about.
