SHEBOYGAN - A former St. Vincent de Paul bookkeeper charged in 2019 with stealing $500,000 from the town of Sheboygan organization pleaded no contest to the felony Monday.
Donna Larue, 62, was scheduled for a jury trial next week, but the plea Monday means she won t face a jury.
Larue s attorney, Brett Kaehne, told Judge Rebecca Persick during a hearing Monday they are working through Larue s finances to get restitution in order to comply with a plea offer from prosecutors. Some of her assets have been frozen by law enforcement, Kaehne said, and he s working with Larue and her accountant on withdrawing funds from her savings and retirement accounts.
