BELLINGHAM, Wash. A suspect involved in a Bellingham vehicle pursuit ended up barricading himself in his home for hours and threatening to shoot police.
Whatcom County Sherriff’s deputies responded to the 1300 block of Roma Road in Bellingham at about 1 a.m. on January 16 after a Washington State Patrol vehicle pursuit ended at a residence.
51-year-old Brett Frost from Bellingham reportedly fled into the house and refused to come out.
At one point, the suspect exited out the back and pointed a handgun at deputies who were applying for a search warrant.
Frost did not respond to crisis negotiation efforts and continued to refuse to exit the house until authorities used chemical munitions, at which point he surrendered and was taken into custody.
