Bret Christensen heads a water company older than the state of Utah. The Richmond Irrigation Company was founded in 1889. His father was president of the company before him and his grandfather was the first to put gravity pressurized irrigation into Cache Valley decades before that.
Christensen spoke casually with a reporter on the phone while at the same time giving directions to employees at a worksite and hammering on a water pipe. He was only flustered when asked how long he had been in the business.

An insulin management system made by Acton medical device company Insulet is now available in Canada, the company announced on Monday.
“The Omnipod DASH System’s sleek, touchscreen Personal Diabetes Manager (PDM), combined with the existing benefits of Pod therapy, will provide Canadian users even more freedom, flexibility, and discretion to simplify their diabetes management,” said Chief Commercial Officer Bret Christensen, in a statement.
The Omnipod DASH System combines a tubeless, wearable waterproof pod with a touchscreen PDM. The pod, according to Insulet, allows up to 72 hours of continuous insulin therapy, allowing its users to live their lives without needing to inject insulin daily.
