Northern Lights Palace Pool opening in Melfort on Monday

Melfort, SK, Canada / CJVR Today s Best Country May 1, 2021 | 8:00 AM After over a year of being closed to the public, the Northern Lights Palace Pool in Melfort will be reopening to the public. The pool shut its doors back in March 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic hit Saskatchewan and businesses started to close. While the pool was closed over the last 13 months, work has been done on the pool area. Work that likely would’ve had to take place during a normal summer shutdown, which will not happen now. Monday, May 3 will be opening day for the pool and things will be a bit different this time around as COVID-19 restrictions are in place. The City of Melfort’s director of development, planning, and community Brent Lutz said there will be a limited number of swimmers per time slot.
