Sometimes, we may not know how long it will take (to make an adaptive bicycle) or how it will look like, but we always find a way.
Case in point: A 4-year-old boy was born without any legs or forearms. Emery, his team and a few people from Harley-Davidson had him riding independently on an adaptive bike.
Emery, who owns Emerys Cycling, Triathlon & Fitness with his brother Ben, said he can find a way for young riders to use their torso to ride, can build hand pedals or adjust the crank arms. It was a big responsibility because I wanted to make sure the motion was correct to not tear the shoulder, he said.
