YOUNGSTOWN Brian Yauger of Warren, who was recently hired as a full-time sports writer for The Vindicator and Tribune Chronicle, was among staffers at The Jambar to win awards at the 2021 Ohio Collegiate Newspaper Competition.
The Jambar is the student newspaper at Youngstown State University. In all, Jambar writers, editors, photographers and designers won 10 awards. Yauger shared the first-place prize for photojournalism with Brent Bigelow and Frances Clause.
