Vistry Partnerships has finished construction work at the Brunswick Village extra care facility, handing over 60 specialist apartments to the city council and S4B consortium partners.
The residential community is to replace the existing Elizabeth Yarwood Court retirement home, with on site facilities to include a café/bistro and hair salon for community and residents’ use. The scheme includes both one- and two-bedroomed apartments.
Brunswick Village is situated on Brunswick Street, roughly halfway along the road linking Upper Brook Street and the A6 near the Apollo in Ardwick.
The S4B Consortium is made up of Vistry Partnerships, Onward, Mears and Equitix, and is taking forward a £100m masterplan for the New Brunswick area covering new home,s improveoments to existing housing, retail, highways, pedestrian footpaths, play areas, cycle routes and recreational space. Onward will manage the facility.
