MIFFLINTOWN – Praising their work and dedication to Juniata and surrounding counties, the Juniata County commissioners issued a proclamation designating May 16th through the 22nd as ‘Emergency Medical Services Week” Tuesday.
Mike French from Central Juniata Emergency Medical Services was on hand to accept the proclamation. French said CJEMS was caught off guard with the pandemic however were prepared thanks to Juniata County emergency services director Allen Weaver. “He’s been a godsend in getting us supplies and making sure we had supplies.” French said.
French also said a new air purification system was also installed at the station as well as a decontamination station to prepare themselves in between emergency calls.
