Danvers, Mass.: Jesus has taken some bad press and is in need of a branding makeover. Thus, we have all been subjected to the “He Gets Us” marketing campaign. But the evangelicals behind it do not seem to understand the most basic elements of getting Jesus.
Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.: On Dec. 30, Gov. Hochul cut 14% of mental health practitioners from a bill that requires all insurance companies to cover therapy. This will drastically impact New Yorkers’ access to affordable mental health care from qualified providers at a time when waitlists are already very long and many are struggling to afford therapy for themselves and their children.
Manhattan: Right at the time of the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting, I was in Austin for a wedding. I could not help joking with a couple of Uber drivers when I got down there: “What’s going on in Uvalde? I thought y’all Texans packed heat down here!”
Garwood, N.J.: This letter is in response to Voicer Robert J. SanFilippo: Thank you for your letter. It made me smile. I could not finish reading Dr. Andrew Wickline’s op-ed (“The right way to curb opioid abuse by Americans,” May 16) because I was laughing, too.
East Northport, L.I.: Your editorial (“Office no more,” April 4) is right hardly anyone wants to return to full-time commuting, though many are open to hybrid work. So who should do what? Here are a few ideas: Stop the idiotic Andrew Cuomo-Gov. Hochul real estate grab around Penn Station.
