WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The 2021-2022 school year is drawing to a close, and what better way to celebrate than watching a free movie! The University/Community Programs (U/CP) Department at Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) will host its Summer Kick-Off Movie Night May 10 at the West Plains Civic Center theater. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. when the curtain rises on a classic PG-rated comedy adapted from Hal Roach's "Our Gang" series. This 1994 film features the antics of the bumbling "He Man Woman Hater's Club" as they race through a summer of shenanigans in an effort to win the community go-cart race. Club member Alfalfa finds himself in even greater dire straits when he is forced to choose between his loyalty to the club or his cute girlfriend, Darla. "For nearly a century, the stories of Alfalfa, Darla, Spanky and the gang have entertained audiences far and wide, and the updated 1994 version of their tales will not disappoint," said U
Rivera will take the stage at 7 p.m.
