GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – With the Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks increasing capacity for home games to 50%, it has people thinking about what’s in store for the Packers this upcoming season.
Lambeau Field has served many purposes this last year and a half, like becoming a vaccine clinic. But, it hasn’t served its one main purpose. Being home to the roughly 81,000 fans that can fill the stadium.
The Packers did tell FOX 11 as of now, they’re going off what the NFL has already stated. That stadiums will be full capacity and the season will go on as scheduled.

Roughly 6,000 Packers fans will finally be able to watch a game in person at Lambeau Field this COVID-altered NFL season.
Brenda Krainik, Director of Marketing & Communications at Greater Green Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau, tells WTMJ Green Bay has had a different feel this year.
“It’s been kind of bleak here. We normally see about a $15 million economic impact for each game. No fans in the stands really does terrible things to the local businesses, attractions, restaurants, hotels. It really ripples through the community.”
So the community is safely preparing to welcome fans again. Krainik says local bars and restaurants have been gearing up all week.

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau is once again teaming up with the Wisconsin Department of Tourism for the “Big Bundle Up” campaign.
The bureau is asking the community to donate new or gently-used gloves, hats, and scarves, which will be given to the Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay.
They’re asking for donations from babies to young adults.
“So this is a pretty amazing program. We typically have an event where we collect all these items, and we didn’t have that this year, so that’s why we’re reaching out to the community,” bureau marking director Brenda Krainik said.
