JOHOR BARU: Two Malaysians in two different continents, unable to reunite for the holidays, are not letting the distance stop their annual tradition of singing Christmas carols together.
Brenda Benedict, who resides in Germany with her husband, got increasingly disheartened looking at the Christmas advertisements in the city of Bonn from as early as October, knowing that she could not return to Johor Baru for the festive season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Being away from her loved ones also meant that the 48-year-old writer and editorial consultant would miss the chance to carol with her elder sister’s family here.
