CAMDEN Like many conversations, a recent chance encounter with Brenda Antinore near her Broadway home ended with a discussion about vaccines. We got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, said Antinore, who runs She Has A Name (SHAN), an outreach for women in addiction who ve turned to prostitution. Antinore s husband, Bill, leads Seeds of Hope Ministries, a nonprofit that includes SHAN, as well as efforts to help people adjust to life post-incarceration, and a third outreach to people experiencing homelessness.
Antinore said the volunteers who work with her and Bill in their respective ministries also got the J&J vaccine, but just as importantly, so did many of the women she works with through SHAN. Joseph s House, a nearby homeless shelter and outreach, offered the shots to SHAN in partnership with Project HOPE, a federally-qualified healthcare center in Downtown Camden.
