Jim Comer | Darke County Media ARCANUM A two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening claimed the life of a Brookville teenager after the vehicle she was occupying crashed into a home near Arcanum. At approximately 6:12 p.m., emergency personnel from Arcanum Fire and Rescue responded along with CareFlight, Darke County deputies, the Darke County Accident Reconstruction Team and the Darke County Coroner’s Office to the intersection of Alternate State Route 49 East and Gordon Landis Road in reference to a serious injury crash involving a vehicle into a home.

The crashes occurred Tuesday and Wednesday in Preble, Darke and Shelby counties. Those killed included a 19-year-old Brookville woman in a crash that involved a house; two Sidney men who died in an accident on Interstate 75 as snow fell near the Miami County line, and a Kansas man who was killed on I-70 near in Preble County. Just before 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jesus Gonzales, 42, of Sidney, was driving a 2002 GMC Sonoma on I-75 near Kirkwood Road when he lost control and was hit by a tractor-trailer rig. The semi then collided with a 2014 Dodge Avenger. All three vehicles went off the left side of the road and stopped in the median, a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.
