Floyd and another man died friday after being pinned to the ground by the neck by a Minneapolis Police officer, whose name remained pressed into his neck for eight minutes, a horrified bystanders and a 12yearold girl who filmed the incident watched. They were responding to a forgery and floyd resisted officers. All four in the incident have been fired, but not charged. That decision not to charge the officers stands as of tonight. Based on a press conference by state officials that it concluded less than half an hour ago. Earlier today, Minneapolis Park Police released new body cam footage with video and audio heavily redacted. But it does not show the period leading up to George Floyds death.
