(Submitted photo) Utica area resident William Billy Leary who was arrested and detained last week on January 6th after the attack on the U.S. Capitol, spoke to WIBX s Keeler Show on Thursday. Leary said he arrived late (after 4 p.m.) in Washington and was unaware of the siege on the Capitol building. He also said he was unaware of the curfew that had been imposed for 6:00 p.m. by officials after the attack, which ultimately resulted in his arrest.

Residents all around the region and state are scrambling to try to schedule appointments to get the COVID-19 vaccines that are in short supply without much luck and now, some who thought they lucked out with a special link they found are being told “not so fast”. Photo: Bob Joseph/WNBF News The General Counsel for the Office of Information Technology Services, Marcy Stevens, says an unpublished scheduling link was shared without authorization on social media this week allowing some appointments to be scheduled for state vaccination sites at the former Gannett publishing site in Johnson City, Buffalo, Plattsburgh, Potsdam, Stony Brook and Utica, which aren’t actually taking appointments.
