right. so let s go out to molly and review where we re at in day two of the libya no-fly zone, do anything we can to stop them from flying kind of war sort of. you re in washington with latest. what is the latest? good morning, brian, steve and alisyn. no word this morning in the libyan leader was at home at the time but a senior coalition official tells fox that british submarines filed two missiles at muammar qaddafi s compound in tripoli because it had military significance. it knocked down half of the round three story building considered to be qaddafi s presidential compound. still, both the brits and the u.s. military leaders say qaddafi is not the target of this mission. this is not about going going after qaddafi himself or attacking him at this particular point in time. it s about achieving these narrow and relatively limited objectives so that he stops killing his people and so
good morning again, everybody. lots of breaking news this morning and we begin with news out of libya. two cruise missiles slam into mow more qaddafi s compound in tripoli. you re looking at the aftermath, i believe, this comes as air strikes continue to pound targets there and molly henneberg is live in washington with the latest. what do we know? good morning. u.s. and british officials insist the libyan leader is not a target in this mission. but the brits fired two missiles into muammar qaddafi s main home. it s really a compound in tripoli. a senior coalition military official says that location was targeted not because of qaddafi but because it had military significance. no word on where qaddafi was at the time of the missile strikes. since the attack began on saturday, the u.s. has fired 125 tomahawk missiles into libya. still, defense secretary robert gates en route to russia yesterday said the u.s. expects to pull back from this mission sooner rather than later.
