His importance as Chelsea’s metronome midfielder should ultimately lead to an extension of his current contract, which runs until 2023.
But Saturday’s FA Cup final against Leicester and the May 29 Champions League final against Manchester City take clear precedence.
“Of course, of course I do feel settled,” Jorginho told the PA news agency.
“When I came here, everything was different. But I felt welcome straight away.
“It feels great after three years, and I know everyone here appreciates what I try to do for the club and for the people. So it feels like home now in England.
“It’s definitely not the time to think about contracts with two finals to play!

Daily Mail on whether his time at Stamford Bridge has been something of a rollercoaster, Jorginho said: Ups and downs? You need to look at the numbers and the numbers are not like that. I received a lot of criticism and I can accept that. Everybody has an opinion and I don’t always agree but I can respect it. It motivates me to work harder and do better and keep proving they are wrong. Sometimes I do feel unappreciated but I don’t get disappointed. This is a great moment for me a great moment for the team but we can’t get too comfortable. We must be humble and keep pushing.
When asked about Jorginho’s future, Santos told
Tuttomercato: “He has a two-year contract with Chelsea. He is thinking about playing in the European Championships and then the World Cup in Qatar. He will remain at Chelsea, 100 per cent”
Asked if the 29-year-old will sign a contract extension at the club, Santos added: “We will talk about it in a few months.”
The bigger picture
Jorginho is now in his third season at Chelsea having followed Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2018.
Sarri departed after just one season in west London but Jorginho remained and has established himself as a key player under both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel, making 126 appearances and scoring 16 goals.
