become more frequent? well, it is quite possible that we will hear this more combative tone continue, martin. this is what we can tell you is that the background to this is that some democrats have been quietly saying that they want the president to use the bully pulpit here in terms of getting a deal done on the debt ceiling. so when he came out yesterday and used the more combative tone, a lot of the democrats were cheering and the house minority leader nancy pelosi said brau voeshgs abravo, and w president came out, he urged them to get back to work and he said that his daughters had a better time getting their deadlines for homework done than congress did. and of course, the republicans didn t take kindly to that, but the democrats are cheering on the rhetoric which has been ratcheted up. so we will see in philadelphia if we hear a similar tone. but when mitch mcconnell
