Thomas Driscoll, 57, was killed before dawn on Sunday on the Las Vegas Strip
Police said he was punched by a random attacker at around 4:30am on Sunday
Driscoll was walking with a woman, Nava Fuehrer, on a pedestrian bridge
The pedestrian bridge connected The Cromwell with Bally s casino
Driscoll and Fuehrer walked past a group of men, one of whom made a comment
Police said Brandon Leath, 33, ran toward Driscoll and Fuehrer as they walked by
Leath ran down staircase as Driscoll and Fuehrer descended nearby escalator
Leath allegedly waited at bottom of escalator and crouched into fighting stance
As Driscoll approached, Leath threw a punch and connected, according to cops
