Annual appeal for Jennifer Kane fund honors 9/11 victim from Plymouth

Wicked Local PLYMOUTH – Nearly 20 years have passed since Jennifer Kane headed off to work at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. And while the West Plymouth woman’s family and friends continue to mourn the loss of the vibrant young accountant, they have also channeled their grief into good. Shortly after losing their daughter in the terrorist attacks, the Kane family established a charitable foundation to fund causes in Jen’s memory. To date, the Jennifer Lynn Kane Scholarship and Charitable Trust has donated more than $1 million to initiatives that reflect Jen’s patriotism and compassion. The work continues with this year’s appeal to help four familiar causes – Homes for Our Troops, School on Wheels of Massachusetts, the Old Colony YMCA’s Camp Clark, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
