We are on the scene of breaking news in the east bay at an Apartment Fire that started about an hour ago. Cbs 5 reporter Elissa Harrington is in hayward getting the latest. Reporter that apartment completely destroyed and there was a mother who lived there with her young son. She told us that she thinks somebody threw something into her home and thats what caused it to set on fire. So arson investigators are on scene. They are trying to sort all of this out but we are on dixon street right by the bart station. This was a onealarm fire but again it caused significant damage and firefighters say that that family wont be able to return home. Nobody was hurt.
