The Meade School District held an emergency board meeting Monday in Sturgis to discuss the possible relocation of Whitewood Elementary fifth graders to Sturgis Williams Middle School.
The Outer Skin, which opened in 1999, closed suddenly in 2022 after the death of its owner leaving behind only a hand-written notice taped to the door, burning questions about a potential family feud, and the loss of a safe space for those who don't fit the societal norm.
