Tim Foley May Be Appointed Cody Schools Interim Superintendent Written by Andrew-Rossi on July 27, 2021 After the resignation of Peg Monteith, Assistant Superintendent Tim Foley will lead the Cody school district until a permanent superintendent can be found. The Park County School District #6 Board of Trustees released the agenda for a special board meeting on Wednesday, July 28. One of the agenda items is naming Tim Foley – a long-time Cody resident and school administrator –  as the interim superintendent for the 2021-2022 school year. Sold! Park County School District #6 Sells Old Cody Bus Barn

Written by Andrew-Rossi on April 23, 2021 After months of discussion and bidding, the Cody school district unanimously voted to accept a sizeable bid for the 20th Street building and property. The Park County School District #6 April 20 board meeting was full of potent topics. Much of the discussion centered around voting to request a mask variance for all K-12 schools in Cody, which unanimously passed. But the Board of Trustees brought another issue to a close that evening. A bid for the old bus barn on 20th Street was discussed and accepted during the same board meeting. Since the construction of the new facility at 3825 Sheridan Avenue, the district has been hoping to sell the old bus barn. The board ultimately decided to put the building and property up for bid, hoping for a quick sell.

Cody School Board Approves Request to Remove Masks in Class

Cody School Board Approves Request to Remove Masks in Class Written by Andrew-Rossi on April 21, 2021 The Park County School District #6 Board of Trustees applaud the strength of staff and students but agree it’s time to ask for maskless classrooms in Cody. During a routine meeting of the Board of Trustees, there was anticipation in the board room. This stemmed from two items on the board’s agenda: the survey results and a vote on Cody schools requesting a variance from the Wyoming Department of Health. When the state extended the remaining public health orders on April 16, there were no additional amendments lessening restrictions. Currently, masks and physical distancing are required at all times in Wyoming’s schools.
