The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra is performing a special concert for Mothers’ Day on Sunday at 3 p.m. in honour of Randi Nelson, who was the the orchestra’s principal flute for nearly five decades before passing away from cancer in July of last year. The concert will feature the premiere of a new work by Saskatoon composer Kendra Harder written for Mistral 5, the SSO’s wind quartet. Tickets for the livestream can be purchased for $20 at saskatoonsymphony.org.
