Ohio girl, 16, dies saving brother after both fall through ice Updated Feb 25, 2021; HILLSBORO, Ohio A 16-year-old girl was able to save her 13-year-old brother after both fell through the ice of a lake on Tuesday, but ended up drowning after she was unable to get out of the water, authorities say. The girl’s body was found in Rocky Fork Lake after more than four hours, WCPO Channel 9 reports. Her identity has not been released. An officer with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources also died while working to rescue the girl, WLWT Channel 5 reports. Jason Lagore apparently suffered a heart attack while standing on a dock and fell into the water, Fox 19 reports.
