A property recently purchased by Onslow County, which caused significant concerns throughout its residents, will officially open under a new name at the end of June.
Formerly known as Equine Country USA, Onslow County announced Thursday morning the park has been renamed The Hines Farm Park & Stables. The park will host a community celebration day from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 27 on-site.
Equine Country USA was previously owned by former state senator Harry Brown, who brought the idea of buying the property to the county after receiving offers for further development of the two parcels of land associated with the equestrian property.
