Wiltshire Times photographer Trevor Porter snapped these officers - part of Wiltshire Police s specialist operations unit - in Bramley Lane shortly before midday today.  Armed police in Bramley Lane, Trowbridge this morning Pictures: TREVOR PORTER There were four armed units at the scene, with three marked cars and one unmarked 4x4.  Residents reported hearing the police helicopter overhead earlier this morning.  A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said:  We were called to a domestic disorder at an address in Trowbridge.

Broughton landslip site will be inspected daily until repair complete

A LANDSLIP site in Broughton is to be inspected daily until it is repaired, a council chief has said. The announcement on Tuesday from Steve Jones, chief officer for streetscene and transportation at Flintshire Council, comes after concerns over the situation in Bramley Lane. Broughton Councillor Klaus Armstrong-Braun said he spotted the damage after recent heavy rain and flooding brought about by Storm Christoph. I went walking up to Bramley Road, he said, and I noticed a part of the road had gone gown into the ditch at the side. The whole area of the road looked slumped and cracked.
