This time they were searching for a missing swimmer. A 26yearold man. The search has been called off for the moment because of lightning and thunderstorm that rolled through minutes ago. This is again at Great Herring Pond in plymouth. Dive teams were in the water around 2 hours. There were reports of a missing person in the water before 4 this afternoon. 5 boats and more than half a dozen divers in the water sear swimmer. The u. S. Coast guard sent up a helicopter earlier. There has been a grid search under way and other efforts put in place t. Appears to be a recovery effort at this point. A witness told us that 2 men and a woman were on a boat when they jumped in the water to go swimming without anchoring that boat down. The boat started to get away from them.
