The Governor hosted a reception to mark the 125th anniversary of the Queensland Braille Writing Association – now known as Braille House – and to celebrate the organisation’s long connection with Government House.
On Tuesday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD, returned to Government House from Official Travel to Cook Shire Council, Hope Vale Shire Council and Wujal Wujal Aboriginal Shire Council.
In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency received the Australian Electoral Officer and State Manager Queensland and Northern Territory, Australian Electoral Commission, Ms Stephanie Attard, Director, State Office, Australian Electoral Commission, Ms Cathy Dalton and State Office Executive Project Officer, Australian Electoral Commission, Ms Denise Telfer, for the return of the 2019 Queensland Senate Election Writ.
