Involved Media expands with 3 new executive hires

Independent media agency Involved Media has announced three hires, including two in Melbourne, as it continues to expand.
In Sydney, Susan Reid joins the agency as its new business development director. She’ll work closely with managing director Sarah Keith, and brings 20 years industry experience both in Australia and the US.
Reid has worked across areas including strategic media and content partnerships, digital and print publishing, radio and market research, and has held senior roles with Nine, Australian Community Media and Nielsen.

Digital-first communications company RyanCap has announced new strategic investment in EMT Partners.
EMT Partners is an entertainment, media, sport, and technology law and advisory firm, and RyanCap’s new strategic partnership aims to bring together the talent from both businesses to deliver results from clients.

SCA unveils new digital audio sales leadership structure

Kim Norman, Angie Stavros and Jonathan Mandel will take on new roles as part of Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) new digital audio sales leadership structure.
SCA chief sales officer, Brian Gallagher, unveiled the restructure off the back of the launch of SCA’s new home for digital audio, LiSTNR, and also revealed the digital and podcast sales teams will merge to form a national digital audio sales team.
Head of podcast sales, Norman, is now head of commercial – podcast and partnerships in a role change that will see her manage the commercial relationship between LiSTNR Original Podcasts and Sales.
Quantcast names Jacquelyn Cowardin head of account management

Jacquelyn ‘JC’ Cowardin has been appointed as head of account management for ANZ at audience intelligence, measurement and content management solutions company, Quantcast.
Cowardin joins Quantcast from George P. Johnson ANZ, where she led its audience acquisition division for the past two-and-a-half-years.

Have You Been Paying Attention? returns to 732,000 metro viewers

The launch of Have You Been Paying Attention? (HYBPA) season nine was a welcome addition for Ten on Monday night, as 732,000 metro viewers tuned into the Working Dog-produced quiz show.
The program – hosted by Tom Gleisner and starring Ed Kavalee, Sam Pang and a rotating roster of comedians and media personalities – was the second-best non-news program on Monday night, behind Lego Masters and its 769,000 metro viewers.
HYBPA also won all three key advertising demos, and along with MasterChef Australia (607,000 metro viewers) helped Ten to a healthy 23.3% network share for the evening, with MasterChef’s national audience also its biggest since launch.
