Terry Pugh, 71, of Alpena passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena. Terry was born July 13, 1949 to the late Royal and Shirley (Smith) Pugh. Terry was a life-long resident of the area save for the two years served in the US Marines when he was drafted. He was proud to have served his country, in fact it was his pride that kept him from ever asking for help always insisting on doing things for himself. Terry married Marsha Konecki on Sept. 20, 1969 and the two of them were blessed with nearly 52 years together. He worked as an engineer on the steamships on the Great Lakes for many years. Terry loved spending time outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, or camping. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Alpena Shriners Hopper Lodge #199, as well as a member of the International Shipmasters Association.
