Blackburn Rovers will recall right-back Bradley Orr from Town at the end of his current spell on January 26th, according to reports in Lancashire. Rovers had previously agreed to extend the 30-year-old’s stay until the end of the season.
Town have confirmed that they will be without loanees Stephen Henderson and Bradley Orr for Saturday’s FA Cup third round tie at Aston Villa. Neither West Ham nor Blackburn have given permission for their players to be involved in the competition.
Manager Mick McCarthy says he’s going into Saturday’s game against his old club Wolves with the same approach he takes anywhere. The Midlanders sacked McCarthy after just under six years in charge at Molineux in February.
Boss Mick McCarthy said he was “thrilled” for Michael Chopra after the striker came off the bench to score Town’s final-minute winner in their 2-1 victory at Bolton on Saturday, the Blues’ first ever win at the Reebok Stadium. The Town manager also revealed that the idea of playing Bradley Orr in the centre of midfield had its roots in a game he saw almost a decade ago.
