THIS WEEK IN HISTORY 1970: COUNTY OBTAINS DEED TO INDUSTRIAL PARK Bradley County today obtained the deed to the proposed 69-acre industrial park on the Old Tasso Road, County Judge Nelom Jackson said. A Bradley County Quarterly Court land committee voted to exercise an option on the property for $155,000 in accordance with an agreement made at the Dec. 15, 1969, meeting of the court. The court land committee agreed to go through with the land purchase after it became clear that Owens-Illinois Inc., of Toledo, Ohio, was going to exercise an option to purchase 22 acres in the park.
