The Grove Library on Great Horton Road A NEW application to turn the building David Hockney studied art in into a restaurant has been submitted to Bradford Council. Last year planning officers refused plans to convert the Grove Library building on Great Horton Road into a new venue for restaurant chain LaLas. They had raised concerns about the limited parking for the new restaurant and the lack of information on what changes would be made to the Grade II listed building. The building belonged to Bradford College before it moved its library into the David Hockney building - but before then it was the Bradford Regional College of Art, which produced the acclaimed group of artists known as the Bradford Mafia, which included Hockney.
