Local congress delegation explain their stance on Jan 6 commission bill

View Comments The U.S. House Wednesday voted on a bill that would create a commission to investigate the U.S. Capitol attacks that occurred on Jan. 6. The bill passed in the House and will be voted upon by the Senate.  Here s where the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky delegation stands. Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-Columbia Tusculum)  Voted: No Statement: “This commission, as structured, declines to include investigating security vulnerabilities associated with the violent extremism attack at the baseball field on 6/14/17. We should be evaluating all of our security vulnerabilities. Democrats voted down my amendment to do just that. As well, the language of the bill does not explicitly require that the staff of the commission be bipartisan.
