Police organized the checkpoints between Nov. 26 and Jan. 3. They charged 92 people with impaired driving or a related offence. A further 31 received suspensions of their driving licences after roadside testing showed their blood-alcohol levels to be in the warning range. “These individuals are putting not only their own lives at risk, but also those of passengers, other motorists and pedestrians,” said Insp.
