Bodybuilders are a diverse and colorful group who come from all walks of life. Most pros have jobs outside of bodybuilding, and you are bound to find exceptionally fit doctors, nurses, lawyers, bankers and police officers if you look hard enough. Of course, many bodybuilders are personal trainers and prep coaches. Then there is Classic Physique pro Thomas Connelly, the most jacked dentist in the world, who is on the cover of this month’s Muscular Development, photographed by legendary photographer, Per Bernal. Dr. Connelly has a busy and successful career, with celebrity clients in and out of bodybuilding – his most expensive product is a diamond tooth, which costs $1 million – yet Connelly still walks the walk when it comes to competing and contest prep.
LYME REGIS 3 LYME Regis are still in control of Devon & Exeter League Premier East – despite a 5-3 loss at Dawlish United. The Seasiders were aided by rivals Feniton, who could only manage a 2-2 draw with Chard Town Reserves. The development means Lyme can still go through to the knockout stages as group winners. Lyme had begun brightly and took the lead on 30 minutes through Brad Rowe, finally netting after he, Joe Bond and Ben Vine had wasted chances. Dawlish brought themselves level just before half-time when Oliver Rackley-Botten forced a corner home. After the break, Toto Whittle converted a penalty after stand-in keeper Dan Rendall’s aerial foul, and Whittle netted again in fortuitous circumstances when a scuffed shot deceived Rendall for 3-1.
LYME REGIS 3 LYME Regis inflicted a first home defeat since December 2019 on title rivals Feniton with a 3-2 victory at Acland Park. The Seasiders are now just three points behind Fenny with two games in hand and look primed to take top spot in the revised Devon & Exeter Premier East division. Feniton began the game strongly as Brett Garner was called upon to deny Oscar Walsh in a one-on-one. But Lyme responded with a killer touch from Brad Rowe, whose volley on the turn flew into the net 12 minutes in. With Feniton chasing goals due to an inferior goal difference, the hosts flooded forward and equalised seven minutes later when Aaron Pearse crashed a volley beyond Garner despite a suspicion of handball.
